Nine people were killed in a shooting at a shopping center in the US state of Texas on Saturday. One of them is the shooter. He was shot dead by the police. Seven people were injured, three of them in critical condition.
A police officer who had come to the mall in Allen town because of another report heard shots fired. When he discovered the shooter, he shot him.
Nine victims were taken to hospitals with gunshot wounds, but two of them died before receiving medical attention. CNN reports that the injured are between the ages of 5 and 61.
Allen is located 40 kilometers northeast of Dallas and has a population of about 100,000.
