The governor of the southern state declared a state of emergency due to the “invasion” of migrants: We are ready to fight with Washington, said Greg Abbott
America is more divided than ever. Something serious has been going on for several days at the US southern border with Mexico, which has the chance to escalate into a full-scale civil war. Texas Governor Greg Abbott earlier this week declared a state of emergency in connection with the “invasion” of the state by illegal immigrants – a right guaranteed to him in the Constitution. Thus, Abbott exercised his right to defend himself by calling in the National Guard and massing troops at the border.
This, of course, did not sit well with Washington and the White House in particular. President Joe Biden, who opposes controlled migration and favors uncontrolled migration instead, spoke out against the governor’s actions. In the meantime, however, 26 of the 50 states have signed an “accord” with Texas expressing their support for Abbott’s decision. Police and soldiers sent by Biden’s order have gradually begun to tear down some of the fences on the border with Mexico, and the administration of the state has said that this is illegal.
“We’re even prepared for a case where Biden decides to take control of the National Guard in Texas. That would be a stupid decision on his part that would lead to total disaster. We currently have armed officers at the border. There are also national guard personnel from other states, and we expect more to join,” Greg Abbott said in a statement. He assured the people that the state was ready to go into conflict with the federal authorities.
All this is happening in the context that since Joe Biden and the Democrats have been in power, the southern border of the US has been virtually free of access. It is expected that hundreds and even thousands of illegal migrants pass through it every day, a large number of whom have a criminal past related to trafficking in people, drugs or weapons. As a result, an “epidemic” of fentanyl addicts has descended on the United States, and the sights on the streets of some, mostly Democratic-run states, are shocking. They look like scenes from a zombie movie.
“Men from all over the world, from many countries and regions, some of them hostile to the United States, are coming wave after wave to our land. This is across a border that is correctly advertised as unsecured. It is difficult to minimize the danger that the created situation poses to our security,” ten retired FBI agents, supported by counterintelligence experts, wrote in a letter to Congress ten days ago.
All of this is a ticking time bomb. Domestic tensions across the ocean are growing by the day, and the clock is ticking down to the upcoming presidential vote in November. With the state now split, a victory for Republican-nominated former head of state Donald Trump has every chance of winning a second term. How exactly the events that began in Texas will unfold and whether a Second American Civil War is on the horizon remains to be seen in the coming days. However, it is very likely that the Democrats, who are now losing ground anyway, will try every possible way to stop Trump from even entering the race in November. And they are willing to use every available weapon in their arsenal, even if it means the destruction of American society.
