Texas governor declares “invasion” in his state due to massive arrival of migrants

Greg Abbott, governor of the state of Texas, declared that there is an “invasion” of migrants along the country’s southern border. At the same time, he directly blames the current president, Joe Biden, for his “failed immigration policies,” according to Abbott himself.

The Republican governor published on his X account, formerly Twitter, about the new measures his administration is adopting on the issue. The fundamental idea is to contain, as soon as possible, the migratory wave that crosses the border and reaches the city of Eagle Pass. There are thousands of undocumented immigrants who have arrived from Mexico in recent days.

“I officially declared an invasion on our border because of Biden’s policies. We deployed the Texas National Guard, DPS and local law enforcement. We are building a border wall, barbed wire and sea barriers. We are also repelling immigrants,” Abbott warned on Twitter.

Operation Eagle Pass underway

The governor of Texas gave direct orders to the National Guard, the state Department of Public Safety and local police agencies. The mission is to deploy as many troops as possible on the ground and mainly prevent mass access through Eagle Pass.

Abbott directly accuses Biden. In fact, the previous tweet was accompanied by a letter that he sent to the Head of the White House last November. In the letter he accuses him of failing to comply with his constitutional duty. Which one of them? It is none other than protecting the States from the invasion of Mexican drug cartels and massive illegal immigration.

“Two years of inaction on your part leaves Texas no choice but to intensify our efforts to secure our state. “Your open border policies, which have catalyzed an unprecedented illegal immigration crisis, are the only reason Texas has to invoke our constitutional authority to defend ourselves,” he warned Biden.
