Tetris Effect has been playable on the PlayStation 4 for several years, but the ‘Connected’ version – which adds multiplayer – was only released for the Xbox and PC. Last July the news came out that Connected in the summer of 2021 was also coming to Sony’s console and now a release date has been announced.
It took a while, but on August 18 the multiplayer of Tetris Effect will also come to the PlayStation 4. You can not only play against friends who also have a Sony console, but also if they play on an Xbox or PC.
A new ‘spectator mode’ will also be introduced and PlayStation owners will also be able to play the puzzle game via Remote Play.
If you already own the original version of Tetris Effect, the multiplayer will be added through a free update. In the PlayStation Store, the original will be completely replaced by Tetris Effect: Connected.
