All this through Tetris 99. A video game, available for free for Nintendo Switch Online players, in which we will have to face 98 other players in order to become the last player standing. Despite the fact that the video game is practically identical to the one that became popular in the 80s (the user will have to form lines with the falling figures to clear the screen), Tetris 99 introduces important new features to adapt it to the new times.
In this battle royale, the lines not only disappear, but they end up on the screen of other players. Each time we advance in our goal to clear the screen, the player will be able to send their trash to the players they have fixed through a menu that is displayed at the top of the screen. Thanks to this, if we see an opponent about to lose, we can throw several lines to finish him off.
In search of the last player standing
Therefore, the main objective is to become the last player standing. To end the rest of the rivals, the video game will allow us to configure our attacks automatically or choose one specifically through the interactive menu, in which we will find up to four types of attack.
From automatic mode, in which the CPU will be in charge of choosing who we attack with our lines, to counterattack mode, through which we will send our lines to those who have previously attacked us. Among these attacks we can also find the modo KO, which will allow us to finish off our adversaries and the flagship mode, to collect more points. In short, the classic Tetris adapts to the new times through a game that has received great acceptance.
