Residents of the Los Colorados neighborhood do not recover from the impact caused by the tragic accident registered on Sunday afternoon, on the road that connects Bucaramanga with Rionegro, where a girl and her grandfather died.
Yesterday, immersed in pain, they walked the area confused by what had happened, they fail to understand how two innocent people had to ‘pay’ the alleged irresponsibility of a driver, who was moving in a state of drunkenness and, apparently, in excess speed through 54N street with race 22 of the Limoncito neighborhood, north of Bucaramanga.
Hernando Rodríguez Flórez, 47, and his 5-year-old granddaughter, were hit by a vehicle whose driver lost control, dragged them towards a ravine approximately 30 meters high.
Rodríguez died in the place due to the strong impact and the little girl died minutes later when she received medical attention at the Hospital del Norte, both of whom suffered severe internal trauma.

The driver of the Volkswagen Jetta that caused the disgrace, a 27-year-old man, remains in custody in a healthcare center recovering from a fracture in the pelvis.
As part of the investigation, he underwent a breathalyser test, which was positive.
He would have voluntarily accepted that he drove his vehicle after taking a few ‘drinks’. In the next few days, the degree of alcohol in his body at the time of the accident would be known.
“People like this should not only drop the full weight of the law, because that is worse than a murderer with a gun, because it not only plays with the life of one person but a lot.
“He was able to take the lives of many more, it is a clear message, I want the weight of the law to be applied as it should; do not make excuses or put a lawyer that because you had an accident or are injured you have to have mercy, he did not measure the consequences.
“The girl and Hernando lost their lives in an unfortunate way due to the irresponsibility of this type,” said one of the victims’ relatives.
“You shouldn’t have any benefits like house for jail.”
Hernandoe worked in construction and that day he went to visit the family, the girl. At the time of the accident they were already going back to the house ”, apparently, she was taking a walk with her granddaughter in the area.
