Testing the Effectiveness of SoSIM’s Live Artifact for Faster Upload Speeds

The SoSIM launched by 3HK has always been used as the moderator of the main card. Recently, I noticed that SoSIM has launched a new combination. Became full speed. Different from the $3.3/day “Accelerator”, although everyone is downloading at full speed, the “Live Streaming Tool” will also improve the upload speed. In theory, is it smoother and faster to upload videos? And the moderator opened the “Live Artifact” combination, and evaluated with everyone whether the “Live Artifact” is useful or not. Read below!

Difficulties encountered while testing

In the process of testing “Live Artifact”, I actually encountered many obstacles. First, I tried to test it at home. Maybe my 3HK reception at home is not very good. SoSIM no matter whether I have activated “Live Artifact”, Speedtest The download speed and upload speed of . After “Live Artifact”, the upload speed is slightly slower.

Conclusion: The reception is not good, and it is useless to turn on the “live broadcast artifact”.

The next day, I went to Tai Po Prosperity Center near the 3HK store to conduct a Speedtest test. The result this time was not what I expected. First of all, because it is near the 3HK store, it is estimated that there must be a transmitting station nearby. The speed is so fast. The download speed is normal. After turning on the “Live Streaming Artifact”, the download speed will change to full speed, and the speed is about 120-130 Mbps. , is a reasonable range. However, the biggest impact should be the upload speed, but amazingly, when performing the Speedtest test, the upload speed when the “Live Artifact” is not activated is still faster than when it is enabled. This has become a question: isn’t the “live broadcast artifact” that increases the upload speed? Why is it lower?

▲ The bottom 2 are live broadcast artifacts turned on, and the top 2 are live broadcast artifacts turned off. The results are different from expectations.

In the end, I went to a McDonald’s about 100 meters away from the 3HK store and sat down to test it. The result was still that after the “live broadcast artifact” was turned on, the upload speed was slower than that without it. This is a rather strange result. .

Summary: The results of the first experience were not as expected. Turning on the “Live Streaming Artifact” Speedtest speed measurement turned the upload speed slower.

Went to test again elsewhere and finally succeeded!

After a few days, the moderator went to other places to test this SoSIM. This time I finally got a result that was closer to my expectations. The test site is located outside the Great Happy Gate of Caiyi Garden in San Po Kong. Two tests were conducted for SoSIM: Speedtest and uploading a 10-minute YouTube video.

001: Speedtest
Every time I turn on “Live Artifact” and turn off “Live Artifact”, I will conduct Speedtest tests for SoSIM 3 times, and I will find a problem, that is, the upload and download speeds are not very stable. First of all, when the “Live Artifact” is turned on, the download speed ranges from 51.9 to 83.4 Mbps, while the upload speed ranges from 24.3 to 48.8 Mbps; after the “Live Artifact” is turned off, the download speed is compared to Relatively stable, all three results were between 42 – 48.5 Mbps, and the upload speed was between 14.3 – 35.8 Mbps.

1st 2nd 3rd Open “Live Stream Artifact”
(Download speed) 83.4 53.2 51.9 Turn on the “Live Artifact”
(Upload speed) 33.1 24.3 48.8 Turn off “Live Artifact”
(Download speed) 48.5 42 42 Close “Live Artifact”
(upload speed) 14.3 35.8 29.9

We can see that no matter whether the “Live Artifact” is turned on or not, the upload speed will be fast and slow. Sometimes it may be faster without the “Live Artifact” turned on, but sometimes after the “Live Artifact” is turned on, the upload speed explodes. , it can reach 48.8 Mbps, but it may burst to 35.8 Mbps without opening, so you can roughly see the difference between the two.

002: Upload a YouTube video
The speed test results may not necessarily mean anything, but since this combination advertises that it can increase the upload speed, although I rarely do live broadcasts, uploading videos on YouTube is related to the upload speed, and it is a very practical test . Also upload a video of about 10 minutes, the gap is quite obvious. Not counting the time of “Preparing” and “Processing”, but simply calculating the upload time, when the “Live Artifact” is turned on, the upload will reach 100% in about 3 minutes. After turning off the “Live Artifact”, uploading the same video takes 9 minutes, a difference of 3 times. It can be seen that even if the upload speed of Speedtest seems to be not far behind in numbers, there will still be a significant difference when it comes to practical applications.

▲ When actually uploading YouTube videos, it is obvious that when the “Live Streaming Artifact” is turned on, the upload time is greatly shortened.

Summarize

From the Speedtest speed test to the test of uploading YouTube videos, I deeply feel that sometimes Speedtest is the same as running AnTuTu. The numbers can only be used as a reference and cannot be trusted. Just like the AnTuTu test, the higher the running score, the higher the performance in theory , but not necessarily a good experience; the speed of Speedtest seems to turn on the “Live Artifact”, and the upload speed seems to be slower, but at the practical application level: when uploading YouTube videos, it can be seen that the upload time is obviously 3 times faster. Or I can speculate that this “live broadcast artifact” will help you speed up when you need to use it, such as actually doing live broadcast or uploading videos to YouTube, and at other times, it may be the same as when it is not turned on. too much difference.
