The investigation continues in the affair of the agitated evening of the deputy Aurélien Taché in Niort on the night of February 8 to 9. The weekly Le Point reveals that the testimonies undermine the version of the elected representative of Val d’Oise from Niort on what happened at 11 bis, a bar in downtown Niort.
Aurélien Taché’s lawyer explained the day after the events that the deputy had been “victim of assault”. According to testimonies, it would be the chosen one who tried to kick first to a man present in the bar, blows that the latter dodges. Feeling threatened, he allegedly responded with a punch, hitting the parliamentarian in the face.
Very restless and drunk
“On the spot, the police find that the deputy is drunk, that he is holding a stool in his hand and is threatening other consumers”, indicate our colleagues from Le Point. Aurélien Taché then allegedly insulted the police for several minutes and then mentioned his parliamentary immunity to avoid being arrested. the National Assembly website states that a member of parliament “may be arrested in cases of crimes or flagrante delicto”. And that he “may be indicted under the same conditions as any other citizen for all acts that are not directly related to the exercise of his mandate”.
According to our information, only the police have filed a complaint in this case.
