Do you remember the blockbuster “Speed” that came out in 1994? Here, a regular-service bus plays the main role, which was primed with a bomb by blackmailers. This is configured to explode as soon as the bus is going less than 50 miles per hour; the bus must not come to a standstill. I was spontaneously reminded of “Speed” when I tried today’s surf tip, which is under can be found.
Don’t worry, nothing explodes here. But this game of skill is also about letting the – admittedly quite annoying – music that sounds when you press the space bar play for as long as possible. Here’s how it works: You see eight circles for each half of the keyboard, with eight lines extending from them. The circles on the left are represented by the adjacent keys QWER and ASDF, the right ones by UIOP and JKLÖ. As soon as you press the space bar, a polyphonic melody starts to be played, while dots on the lines from the edge of the field move in the direction of the circles.
Whenever a point has reached a circle, you must press the corresponding key on the keyboard as quickly as possible. As long as you succeed, the music keeps playing, if you press the corresponding key too late or a wrong key, the game ends and you lose. Another press of the spacebar and the fun starts all over again. Blessed is he who does not get stressed here…
Now our question: Which manufacturer built the bus shown in the film “Speed” or the eleven examples that were required for the filming? Please send your solution proposal to netzraetsel@faz.de.
The closing date for entries is July 19, 2023, 9 p.m. We are giving away an eBook voucher worth 25 euros. The winner will be notified in writing. The solution to last week’s riddle was “ICQ (I seek you)”.
