Test series against Pakistan for Kiwis; First in Test rankings for the first time in history

Christchurch: New Zealand in Test series against Pakistan. The Kiwis beat Pakistan by an innings and 176 runs in the second Test to sweep the series. Score: New Zealand 659/6 declared. Pakistan 297 & 186. Man of the match was Kyle Jamison who took 11 wickets in the match. New Zealand captain Kane Williamson has been named the Player of the Series. With the win, New Zealand topped the ICC Test rankings. For the first time in history, they are decorating first place.

Pakistan started the fifth day at eight for one. But there was no response from Pakistan in the face of Jamison’s performance. Azhar Ali and Zafar Gohar were Pakistan’s top scorers with 37 runs each. Faheem Ashraf (28) and Abid Ali (26) resisted for a while.
