One week after winning the friendly against Spain’s reigning champions Atletico Madrid, Red Bull Salzburg are also showing FC Barcelona the limits. In the Red Bull Arena, which was sold out with 29,520 spectators, the “Bulls” received the equalizer late, but still won 2-1.
Both teams start ambitiously, the Catalans impress with their short-pass game, while Salzburg presses up regardless of losses. The first big chance finds Salzburg, but Noah Okafor (25th) sets the ball free-standing from five meters over the goal. Shortly afterwards, the Swiss (30th) heaves the leather next to the box.
After that, Barcelona, which will initially start without ÖFB youngster Yusuf Demir, will also have their first top chance. Memphis Depay (34th) receives the ball on the left edge of the box, leaves Jerome Onguene, but pushes the ball inches past the far corner.

In the 68th minute, the Blaugrana knocked on the equalizer for the first time, a long-range hit from Alejandro Balde parried Philipp Köhn brilliantly. After 72 minutes of play, Yusuf Demir can also play, who delivers a remarkable performance in the remaining minutes.
Barca equalize in the 82nd minute. Dest pulls in the middle and closes, Oumar Solet fakes his flick to Braithwaite, from which the ball falls into the goal like a slapstick. But it does not stop there, because in the 90th minute Adamu closes the pole, Brenden Aaronson sets the rebound over the line.
Salzburg will continue on Sunday in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga against Vienna Austria, while FC Barcelona will play another friendly against Juventus Turin.
