Camera & Picture has together with the sister magazine Mobil tested the new Xiaomi 12 Pro. The mobile has extremely fast charging, but is not lagging behind in other areas for that.
The fastest Android phone we tested and at the same time the one with the fastest charge. In addition, a phone with a first-class feel, so that it feels really well-made and lavish, in terms of design and choice of materials. If this attracts you, I can also take the opportunity to mention the screen, which is high class, is of the OLED type with a high update rate and resolution that makes it both sharp and without delays.
Good, not brutally best Xiaomi 12 Pro is the more advanced of Xiaomi’s recently released top models and they both offer the latest and sharpest performance, but Xiaomi 12 in a slightly smaller and more flexible format. If we look at what Xiaomi usually releases during a year, we can also assume that there will be one or even more even more turbocharged luxury models that complement the Xiaomi 12 series later in the year.
Can handle most things in a picture way
The cameras on the back of the Xiaomi 12 are three in number, giving you the main camera, wide angle and telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, all at 50 megapixels each.
The cameras are something that distinguishes this phone from the cheaper, smaller sister model that has replaced telephoto with a macro lens instead. We can state that the cameras in the Xiaomi 12 Pro deliver good images, although you may miss the proper zoom that we get from some of the competitors. Xiaomi 12 Pro delivers detailed images with natural color reproduction and even in the dark, it manages to reproduce what we see really well.
It is definitely fighting among the absolute best camera mobiles in many respects, apart from extreme zoom then. If we look beyond the main camera, the wide-angle and zoom camera does not provide as good color reproduction and dynamics, but still goes a long way.
We can record video in up to 8K, but you probably have more use for 4K if nothing else to avoid such large movie files. In any case, videos we take have a focus that can follow the subject, and if the camera itself does not find what you want it to focus on, you can double-click on the subject on the screen so that the camera follows the one or the one you have chosen. It is not a unique feature, but can be useful.
