Test games under Windows 10 and 11, are they faster under the new OS?

Modern and powerful GeForce RTX 3080 Ti FE and Radeon RX 6900 XT cards were used for the test, but when it comes to the choice of processor and the entire basic platform, the Core i9-9900K is already at its zenith. The most powerful model available should be applied correctly, especially when testing for a bottleneck in the operating system, and the differences cannot be expected to be large.

But maybe we will see an updated test with the Core i9-12900K, which should work best under Windows 11. On the other hand, with this processor, the test will not tell in general whether Windows 11 is faster, it was more about whether the hybrid Alder Lake works better under them.

The results may also depend to a large extent on the graphics drivers used (NVIDIA 497.09 and AMD 21.12.1) and their tuning for a particular system, so in no case could such a test simply say that elevens or tens are objectively better for games . However, it generally turned out that the average differences in FPS do not reach even one percent and are rather negligible. At the same time, we have highlighted the difference in favor of Windows 11 and in black in favor of Windows 10 (or felt).

But if we can talk about any differences at all, when they are often below one percent, then the biggest ones are in AC: Valhalla and Far Cry 6, but only with GeForce and in favor of Windows 10. Differences between systems in the case of tests with Radeon are then much smaller, after all, in neither case did they reach two percent.

On Tom’s Hardware you can look at other results regarding the FPS declines, but even from them it is not possible to determine that there would be better tens or elevens. The differences are already greater, but sometimes in favor of Windows 10 and sometimes the other way around.
