Cilegon City, bidiktangsel.com – The Cilegon City Health Office held a Test and Treat Orientation for the HIV-AIDS and STI Program on 2-4 August 2023 in the Main Hall of the Cilegon City Health Office.
This activity aims to improve the ability of HIV program managers in health centers, clinics and hospitals.
This activity was attended by medical personnel who manage HIV, namely doctors, nurses, and RR (Recording and Reporting).

The resource persons in this activity were dr. Santoso Edi Budiono, Sp.KK, FIINSDV, FAAD. From KPAD Banten Province, and dr. Kamal Sumardin from Cilegon City Hospital.
In this activity, the participants were given material about HIV, AIDS and STIs. Participants were also given material on how to do an HIV test, how to treat HIV, and how to prevent HIV, AIDS and STIs.
This activity is expected to increase the ability of HIV program managers in Puskesmas, Clinics and Hospitals in providing HIV services to the community.

HIV is a virus that destroys the immune system. AIDS is the final stage of HIV infection. STIs are infections that are transmitted through sexual intercourse. HIV can be transmitted through sexual intercourse, sharing needles, and from mother to child. AIDS cannot be cured, but it can be treated with antiretrovirals (ARVs). STIs can be treated with medication.
