A second trial trip will be held next month, this time to Gran Canaria. There are 180 participants who are allowed to leave their hotel. Registration for that trip opens on Monday.
Earlier this week, four Rhodes vacationers tested positive, after which they and their roommates had to be quarantined. In a new test it turned out that everyone did not have a corona among the members. The participants in the trip also had to submit a negative test before departure. A person who was actually going to come turned out to be infected. There were 25,000 registrations for the trip to Rhodes.
After arriving in the Netherlands later on Monday, all participants must be quarantined for five days, after which they can have a new rapid test. If it is negative, they can resume normal life. If they do not want a rapid test, they can also opt for ten days of quarantine.
Incidentally, it is not checked whether the participants adhere to that quarantine. Also, the government or organizer Fieldlabs does not automatically receive the results of the rapid tests after five days. Participants in the trip can only share these voluntarily due to privacy rules.
