It was even until the end.

But in the end, Tess Medina stood as the winner in “Sweden’s Master Chef”.

– It just went black, she says of the final shock.

It was between Josephine Freij40, and Tess Medina29, who in the final competition in “Sweden’s master chef” on TV4 would prepare a three-course menu in baskets containing identical ingredients.

While the jury thought Tess Medina was stronger in the starter, it was all the more even in the main course, where the jury thought Tess Medina was a notch sharper. However, they agree that Josefine Freij, in turn, was better at dessert.

But then it was clear: Tess Medina impressed the jury the most during the shivering and emerged as the winner.

– Apparently I had jumped insanely high for joy. I haven’t seen it yet, says Tess Medina to Aftonbladet earlier on Thursday.

Screamed the joy straight out

In addition to the jumps, Tess Medina also screamed out loud.

– Yes, that’s exactly how I felt, squeal of joy, she says and laughs.

When you stood there before they called your name, what were you thinking?

– I kind of don’t remember, it just went black. I can’t remember.

She will do that for the prize money

In addition to releasing a cookbook, she also wins 250,000 kroner, money that she will now receive after the final.

What are you going to do with the prize money?

– It’s funny, because I actually have no idea. I haven’t given a single thought to what I’m going to do with the money. But probably live. I haven’t worked in the last six months, or since January. So it’s time to catch up a bit. You notice that things are starting to happen now and it’s super fun. I want to continue writing cookbooks and inspire with food. So we’ll see where this journey takes me.
