Now, the eccentric billionaire’s statements should always be viewed with caution, because if Musk had his way, the futuristic electric vehicle would have been on the roads of the world since 2020. Supply chain problems and obvious quality defects are likely to have delayed delivery of the Cybertruck. The Tesla CEO wants to announce the exact delivery date in September, but in Europe this will not be until 2024 at the earliest. After all, the first Cybertruck rolled off the assembly line in July 2023. A first so-called “release candidate” has now been seen in the wild, as have the first models that were probably used for crash tests.
