Electric car manufacturer Tesla has started to assemble the fourth shift of workers at its factory in Berlin with the aim of doubling the number of cars produced per week. Such information is from the German media rbb24 action. Tesla is said to have successfully managed to collect three shifts of employees, but the recruitment of labor in Germany continues.
It is known that approximately 10,000 people work at the factory on the outskirts of Berlin, and the production volume there is gradually increasing – Tesla produces approximately 5,000 cars in Berlin during the week, which is approximately 250,000 cars per year. The aim of the manufacturer is to double the weekly production volume in order to produce 500 thousand cars in Berlin during the year.
Also, half a million cars a year will not be the maximum capacity of this factory yet, as Tesla is working on getting all the necessary permits for the expansion of the factory. The big goal now is to produce one million machines every year. Currently, only the Model Y is produced in Berlin, but there are regular rumors of other models being produced in Germany. The Model 3 is most often mentioned in this context
