Tesla withdraws 6,000 cars in the United States

US electric car manufacturer Tesla Motors is recalling nearly 6,000 cars nationwide to test for possible loose bolts in the brake system.

This recall covers 5,974 Model 3 and Model Y cars.

The U.S. Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) indicates that the brake caliper bolts on these cars may be loose, allowing the caliper to come loose and come in contact with the disc.

In turn, contact with the disc can cause a loss of tire pressure, increasing the risk of an accident, explains NHTSA.

Tesla is not aware of any injuries or deaths related to this problem.
