A car parts dealer performed a hilarious prank. Using a simple trick, Tesla was given a wishful facelift that could never actually be done.

Tesla Model 3 equipped with a turbocharged V8 Coyote sounds too lean to compare with reality. A photo of the crowded engine compartment of the former trunk of an electric car went viral on June 30, and all popular social networks were followed by a frenzy of supporters and opponents of the conversion of plug-in cars to full-fat combustion engines.
On Instagram alone, less than two weeks were enough to collect 60 thousand likes supported by comments celebrating the opportunity to defeat the electric lobby. The opposite of the euphoria was represented by theorists pointing out an inefficient drive showing worse technical parameters than the battery-powered original. Between the usual disputes between conservatives and revolutionaries, there were rational individuals pondering the feasibility of the much-desired transformation.

When asked if the eight-cylinder Tesla is real, there was an unequivocal answer: “No it is not. We’re just kidding,” Justin of Late Model Racecraft, Texas, said with amusement. The photo montage was successful, the cruel truth reminded the crowd’s naivety, the topic of electric cars still evokes emotions that prevail over reason.
The defense of the hot is the fact that the photo collage was really successful. The misleading image was created using a large-volume drive of the sixth generation Ford Mustang, where, in addition to the eight cylinders, a Whipple compressor whizzes by. The belonging to the Mustang is also revealed by other components, only a minority of commenters noticed the crookedly seated aggregate connected to the non-functioning cooling system. The cooler would interfere with the composite, so the desired flow of fresh air would be missing. In the same way, the dimensions of the hoses or the cooling liquid tank, which would prevent the hood from closing, do not fit.

Doubts were later doubled by the claim of an eight-cylinder powered by both turbocharging and a hybrid system driving all four wheels. The absurd system of supercharger, batteries, differentials and shafts would never fit in a factory Model 3.
The masterful trick was to shoot a video of the Tesla starting up, instead of quietly waiting for the throttle command, at least eight cylinders were humming in the background. Again, the sympathetic expression was artificially created to give the recording the impression of a rebuilt Coyote V8 in the Model 3.
So far, the only known 8-cylinder Tesla is in its finished form by Rich Benoit. Under his leadership, the bronze-colored Model S presented at the SEMA show was created. The eight-cylinder LS3 V8 from the Chevrolet Camaro was supplemented with a sequential gearbox, while the exterior remained true to the factory form of the once buzzing electric car. The respectable project was legalized, given the difficulty of fitting conventional technology into the guts of an electric car, a supercharged Coyote in a smaller Model 3 would be a complete sensation.
