“Tesla” significantly reduces the price of several popular electric car models

“Tesla” has reduced the prices of electric cars by even a fifth in Europe and the USA.

In the UK, prices have been reduced by 10-13 percent, while some models have seen a 20% price reduction in the US.

New UK buyers will save around €6,200 on a Model 3, while Model Y buyers will save nearly €7,900. They are among the best-selling Tesla models in the UK in the past year. 16,000 such models were sold.

Several buyers have expressed their anger at the fact that they bought a car at a significantly higher price. “I bought a car yesterday. What should I do? Go to the “Tesla” store and return the car? I can’t believe that I received the car and after a few hours I lost 6 thousand euros,” a Tesla owner writes in the Facebook group of the social network.

Tesla buyers in China, where prices were cut last week, had a similar reaction. In Shanghai and other cities over the holiday, several Tesla owners protested at Tesla dealers demanding compensation. In the last six months, “Tesla” has already reduced prices in China twice.

Compared to the prices in September, they are 13-24% lower.

To avoid such a backlash in Europe and the US, Tesla announced that customers who have already ordered the car but have not received it will be charged a reduced price.

The cheapest “Model 3” car is available in the UK for 48,450 euros, while “Model Y” – for 50,694 euros.
