Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – China announced that Tesla will recall nearly 300,000 imported Model 3 cars and Chinese-made Model Ys due to a software update.
Reporting from CNBC.com, China’s transportation regulator said Tesla’s withdrawal was an anticipatory measure after a sudden acceleration problem caused the cruise control system to malfunction.
To solve this problem, Tesla had to recall a number of cars in China for a software update. As is known, there are approximately 249,855 cars with Model 3 and Model Y made in China, as well as 35,665 units of imported Model 3 sedans, of which these vehicles had to be recalled due to software problems.
According to current industry data, Tesla made Model 3 sedans and Model Y Vehicles in Shanghai, and sold 33,463 Chinese-made cars last May.
Tesla has also been the target of various complaints from the Chinese community on a number of social media due to quality and service problems in April. Customers also protested Tesla at the Shanghai Auto Show because of its service problems.
