Automaker Tesla is recalling around 475,000 cars in the United States over technical faults that increase the risk of accidents. He informed the American road safety regulator NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Association).
In particular, the company plans to recall all Model 3 cars manufactured between 2017 and 2020, i.e. 356,309 vehicles. Opening and closing the trunk poses a risk of damaging the rear view camera beam, Tesla said. Elon Musk’s company is also recalling 119,009 model S-type cars assembled from 2014 onwards due to a faulty latch that could cause the hood to open. Tesla said these issues will be fixed for free.
