“Tesla” recalls 360,000 cars due to problems with the driver assistant system / Article

This recall covers Model S, Model X, Model 3 and Model Y vehicles manufactured between 2016 and 2023 and equipped with Full Self-Driving Beta technology.

To fix this problem, Tesla will release a software update that can be installed remotely.

Problems with the Full Self-Driving Beta system mean the cars are capable of executing maneuvers “that could violate traffic laws, increasing the risk of crashes if the driver does not intervene,” NHTSA said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Tesla CEO Elon Musk took to Twitter to agree with a user who points out that the term “recall” should not be used for problems that can be solved without major repairs.

“The word ‘rollback’ applied to remote software updates is anachronistic and incorrect,” Musk wrote.
