(Elbil24): Last week came the news that Tesla has got US traffic authorities on its neck. Customers report that their cars emergency brakes without warning.
The phenomenon is often called phantom braking – an abrupt braking that happens automatically because the car’s driver assistance misinterprets information in traffic.
In the United States, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that they have received 354 complaints about phantom braking from Tesla owners in the past nine months, according to Automotive News.
In Norway, it has been several years since the first complaints about phantom braking appeared – and there have been many of them.
Warns: – Have this lying in the car now
