Anyone who currently orders a new Tesla Model S or X can enjoy three years of free charging at the Supercharger charging stations.
Years ago, all Tesla drivers could enjoy free access to the Tesla charging station network, the so-called “Superchargers”. That advantage was abolished due to the ever-increasing sales figures.
Since yesterday, May 5, 2023, Tesla is once again offering free Supercharging. Anyone who orders and receives a Model S or X between 5 May 2023 and 30 June 2023 can enjoy the benefit. Striking detail: if your car is not delivered before June 30, 2023, Tesla will retract its tail.
Furthermore, the free Supercharging package is not transferable to a new owner or to another Tesla.
The Tesla Model S and X have become as much as €2,500 more expensive since the launch of the free Supercharging package:
- The Model S price rises from €105,970 to €108,470
- The Model S Plaid price rises from €130,970 to €133,470
- The Model X price rises from €114,970 to €117,470
- The Model X Plaid price rises from €134,970 to €137,470
18.000 km
Charging at a fast charging station nowadays quickly costs € 0.70 per kWh, so you have to charge at least 3,570 kWh at the Superchargers to compensate for the price increase of € 2,500. This corresponds to approximately 18,000 km. Easily achievable in three years.
