Tesla’s medium-sized SUV has finally headed to the Czech market. It is available in two variants, with a range of up to 505 kilometers.

Tesla’s lovers have survived. The American manufacturer of electric cars on the Czech market is finally launching orders for the Model Y, a medium-sized SUV, the smaller brother of the Model X, which entered the US domestic market as early as the beginning of 2020. According to the published configurator, Czech prices start at CZK 1,724,490. The estimated delivery date is scheduled for September.
In the case of this amount, we are talking about a Long Range derivative with all-wheel drive, which is supposed to mean an output of 258 kW thanks to a pair of electric motors and a battery with a capacity of 75 kWh, which are enough to cover 505 kilometers. Such a design accelerates from 0-100 km / h in exactly five seconds and travels at a top speed of 217 km / h.

If such parameters would not be enough, there is also a Performance version with a lowered chassis and more powerful brakes for 1,874,490 crowns. Although it has the same performance, tuning adjustments mean acceleration from 0-100 km / h in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 241 km / h. At the same time, however, the estimated range drops to 480 kilometers.
In any case, this means that the Tesla Model Y is significantly more expensive than a similarly large SUV with an electric drive. The Škoda Enyaq iV, for example, has a similar size, with a quad bike with a total output of 195 kW basically coming to 1,277,900 crowns. Such an Audi Q4 E-tron, with all-wheel drive with a total output of 220 kW, costs 1,533,900 crowns. And the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is also close in size, with an ATV and 225 kW for 1,469,990 crowns.

In any case, in addition to performance, Tesla wants to lure you with a rich basic equipment. As standard, you have 19-inch wheels, a music system with 14 speakers and a subwoofer, heated front and rear seats, LED fog lights, wireless charging of smartphones, navigation or blind spot monitoring.
For 100,000 crowns, you can pay extra for an advanced Autopilot with automatic lane change or automatic parking. At the beginning of the year in the USA mentioned the seven-digit version however, it is not available in Europe.
Tesla Model Y is a medium-sized SUV, with a length of 4.75 meters, which is derived from the Model 3. In the future, it will also be produced in Europe, after the completion of the Tesla plant near Berlin.
