However, the ability to brutally accelerate and run at high speed should go hand in hand with the ability to brake quickly and safely, which Tesla Model S Plaid allegedly does not do very well. After all, you can also find a number of samples on YouTube, where Tesla performs very dubious performances in an attempt to stop.

A good example is the video of the ThrottleHouse channel, on which the Model S Plaid is compared in a sprint with a Porsche 911 Turbo or a modified Nissan GT-R. Although Tesla will subdue all competitors in acceleration, stopping the running colossus takes a long time and the driver looks quite scared. The path is not infinite.
During a video analysis of the Model S Plaid’s record-breaking drive at the Nürburgring, colleagues at MotorTrend noticed that the driver simply flipped through some sections than accelerated and slowed down at the last minute. The reason was to prevent overheating of the brakes, which was met by colleagues from ThrottleHouse.
However, the problems with the Model S Plaid’s brakes should be definitively resolved in the middle of next year, when Tesla will expand its range of accessories with carbon-ceramic brakes with much larger discs, six-piston forged calipers and special pads for high-performance cars.
