Tesla Model S and X, prices increase in Europe: an update coming?

While Tesla cuts Model S prices in America, in Europe it is the opposite. The American manufacturer, in fact, has increased the list of the new production batch either of Model S and Model X and not a little. In Italy, for example, the Model S Long Range Plus now starts at 84,990 euros against the previous 79,990 euros. The Performance version, on the other hand, went from 96,990 euros to 101,990 euros. Coming to the Tesla Model X, the increase is always in the order of 5,000 euros.

The Model X Long Range Plus now starts at € 94,990, while the Performance version from € 111,990. Apparently this would be an anomalous move. The sales of Model S and Model X they don’t go too well and such a price increase certainly does not incentivize people to buy them. Looking at the configuratorHowever, there is a detail that is suggesting that these increases hide something that Tesla could announce in a short time.

Indeed, for all these models the delivery date is March 2021. Therefore, those who buy today will only have the car delivered in about 4 months. This is a very long time frame. This is why it is speculating that the price increase relates to an update of the Model S and Model X which will be available in Europe from March.

There is currently no official confirmation of the arrival of an update but for some time there has been talk of a renewal of American electric flagships especially at the interior level to make them more current and to try to revive them. Tesla for the moment continues to say that there is nothing on the horizon but given its history, surprises are always around the corner. If there are any announcements, it will certainly not be long in coming.
