The electric car manufacturer Tesla just recently officially revealed the long-awaited upgraded version of the Model 3. For now, it is only produced at the Tesla factory in Shanghai, and photos from China show that the automaker is preparing for a major delivery, sending cars from China to customers in Europe. More recently, several hundreds of cars were spotted parking in Shanghai, and this usually indicates that the cars are about to be sent to another region.
Deliveries of the updated Model 3 in China are expected to begin in the last quarter of this year, but a more precise time has not yet been announced. Taking into account the time that the cars have to spend on the ship when traveling from China to Europe, the first cars in our part of the world could reach their owners at the end of the year.
According to unofficial information from sources close to Tesla in Shanghai, 300 Model 3 units can be produced each day, which of course is only a fraction of the factory’s maximum capacity. For now, the Model Y is the top priority at the factory in Shanghai, but that too is expected to be upgraded in the foreseeable future.
