the MG ZS likes well. The space in the car is a lot more practical than the Tesla. The hatchback/SUV construction ensures that you can load large items in the back of the car. Something that I do miss in my model 3.
You have to see them in the end as 2 completely different cars and not as better or worse as a whole.
If you ever want to use your car to move a fridge or a sofa you can do it with an MG but won’t be able to with the model 3, it just won’t fit in that car because of its size, although the tesla in liters is bigger it is therefore less useful for large items.
If I put them directly next to each other, I get the following list that I’m missing:
Tesla: Hatchback, skylight, quick switching between different driving modes.
MG: well-functioning driving aids, integrated navigation, (fast) charging (both AC (1 phase), and DC (max 60kw). range, app, smart charging/api, frunk (that trunk is so brilliant for your charging cables! and other cars) junk!) UV filter in the glass (you get burned).
In our situation a perfect combination of cars / price and performance, but that makes sense otherwise we would have bought other cars. The person who has to drive the furthest that day takes the Tesla and the other the MG. That way we never run out of range and charging on the go is not such a problem either. after all, you only have to charge to get home. filling up the tank that no longer exists, well only at home in the morning before I leave.
Caught the MG a few times because of large items, yes then charging over a distance is annoying. but those are often special days anyway, so it doesn’t really get in the way.
