Overnight, prices dropped by as much as 10,000 euros.
The US electric car manufacturer Tesla has lowered the prices of its most expensive models this week. Its Model S Long Range AWD is now $89,990 (was $94,990), and the three-motor Model S Plaid, which was $114,990, is now available for $109,990.
Models of the crossover Model X family have experienced an even greater price drop. The Long Range variant will now cost $99,990, which is $10,000 cheaper and has dropped the same amount from the Model X Plaid, stopping at $109,990 instead of the previous $119,990.
Previously, Tesla had repeatedly raised the price of its products, but now it tends to decrease and currently the Model S costs about the same as in 2021.
The vast majority of buyers are happy about it, but not all – customers who paid 138,990 dollars for their Model X Plaid at the end of 2022, feel fooled and not without reason, because now the same model has become 20 percent cheaper, dropping juicy ones from the price 29,000 dollars.
In China, at the beginning of January, after a similar price reduction, protests even started in several cities.
