Tesla opened in mid-May the company’s official website in Romanian and the showroom in the Promenada mall, and starting with Monday, those interested can also perform a test drive with Tesla cars. Currently only Model 3 will be officially available in Romania. The “showroom” is represented by a Model 3 car located in the Promenada mall next to an infodesk.
Also this year, a so-called Tesla showroom was opened in the northern part of the Capital, by a company that had nothing to do with Tesla but that promised financing. Tesla sells new cars only through its own network and nowhere in the world does it sell through intermediaries.
The starting price for the Model 3 starts at 42,990 euros, which is the most affordable, especially since Rabla Plus can be bought for just over 30,000 euros. Deliveries for Model 3 will start in September 2021, and in 2022 for Model S and Model X.
The Tesla service in Bucharest will open this year. It will give Tesla owners access to fast service for their car. The Tesla Mobile Service team will cover your initial service needs once deliveries begin. Most likely, the service will be located in the Pipera area of the Capital.
Last year, over 60 Tesla cars were registered in Romania, given that they did not benefit from the 10,000 euro premium from Rabla Plus, and a total of over 350 Tesla cars are registered locally.
Tesla already operates two Supercharger stations in Romania (Bucharest and Timisoara), thus allowing long-distance travel and connecting current and future owners to the European Tesla network, consisting of over 6,000 individual Supercharger points, distributed in over 600 stations.
Three additional stations are to be opened this year in the most important cities in Romania.
There are 20,000 Supercharger stations globally and over 6,000 across Europe, spread across over 600 stations. Tesla already operates two Supercharger stations in Romania: Timişoara and Bucharest, planning to open in Sibiu and Piteşti before the start of deliveries, as well as in Constanţa, in the fourth quarter.
Tesla has already opened a Supercharger station in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, but also in Serbia, and there are already seven in Hungary.
The stake of a supercharging network is the fact that Tesla cars, along with other electric cars, will be able to cross Romania much easier, the high power stations of the American manufacturer having enough power to power a Tesla car in just half an hour. For example, Tesla Model 3, the most affordable in the range, which is priced at 57,900 euros for the Long Range version, has a 75 kWh battery, and a Supercharger charges up to 250kW, ZF notes.
