Tesla increases prices for superchargers – up to 52 cents per kWh

Gasoline and diesel have become significantly more expensive as a result of the Ukraine war. But even Tesla drivers have to dig deeper into their pockets.

So the Stadtwerke München announced a drastic price increase*, a little bit later Hamburg Energie followed suit*. And Tesla is also turning the price screw again.

In recent months, Tesla has repeatedly raised the prices of its superchargers. This was last the case in March, when the price for a kilowatt hour of electricity increased by three cents. Now at least two cents per kilowatt hour are added, as reported by “Teslamag”. The prices for the superchargers are now between 50 and 52 cents/kWh, as a tweet from the user “Tesla_Adri” shows.

However, charging with the superchargers is not only becoming expensive in Germany, but also in other European countries. In the Netherlands, Tesla made a significant impact, where a kilowatt hour now costs around 45 cents instead of the previous 35 cents. Price increases were also reported from Norway and Portugal.
