Information has appeared in the media that by reaching the 1.9 million mark, the German Hansjorg Gemmingen-Hornberg has set another record with his Tesla Model S.
Hansjorg bought his Model S P85 in 2014, when the mileage of the car was 30,000 kilometers. Soon, the electric car had to get used to much higher loads, as the new owner drove approximately 200,000 kilometers a year, becoming the first person in the world to drive 1 million kilometers with an electric drive vehicle in 2019.
From then on, the records fell one after the other and at the end of this year, the owner of the red Tesla approached the 2 million mark. It has not been easy, as 13 electric motors and three batteries have been replaced during this time. Currently, the record holder Tesla is driving with the fourteenth electric motor and the fourth traction battery.
At the beginning of 2023, the owner of the Model S gave an interview to the publication Spiegel, in which he claimed that he will drive his Tesla until the 2 million mark is overcome and then he will buy a new electric car. It won’t be for Tesla, because, firstly, he was disappointed in Tesla’s technology, and secondly, in the attitude of the head of Tesla, Elon Musk, who posted a congratulation on reaching 1 million kilometers – two thumbs up – on social media only 11 months after this event.
