Tesla Cybertruck captured ‘taking a bath’ in the Gulf of Mexico

And Tesla Cybertruck prototype was spotted on a beach in Port Aransas, Texas, venturing into the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. A short video shared on Reddit shows the Cybertruck heading towards the ocean and diving into a very shallow area of ​​water.

Elon Musk had already referred to the Cybertruck’s fording capabilities, guaranteeing that the vehicle would be isolated from water and therefore, de facto, waterproof. Tesla’s CEO even claimed that the Cybertruck would be able to briefly serve as boat to cross riverscalm lakes and seas, taking for example the crossing of the channel between South Padre Island and southern Brazos Island (Elon Musk also spoke of the Cybertruck as “bulletproof”).

However, the video shows that the Cybertruck did not venture into deep water, and the reason for this specific test remains open to speculation. Some hypotheses attribute this test to fording ability of the vehicle’s water or checking its resistance to salty sea water.
