A few days ago, when similar reductions were announced in China, crowds of angry people appeared outside the Tesla showrooms. No, not to order new cars! Buyers who ordered their cars earlier protested, and now they felt cheated, because after the sale, brand new Teslas became even cheaper than one-year-old or two-year-old used cars!
Will it be the same in Poland? Probably not, but people interested in buying an electric car will now have a real problem, because Tesla’s offer, compared to what other brands offer, has become really attractive. At a time when the competition announces an increase after an increase, and in addition distant deadlines for order fulfillment, often without a guarantee that the car will be delivered on the promised date and at the current price, Tesla cars not only have become cheaper, but also the waiting time may be shorter than competition.

How much do you have to pay for Tesla now?
The basic model, that is Tesla Model 3 with a smaller battery (declared range 491 km), rear-wheel drive (0-100 km/h: 6.1 s, max. speed 225 km/h) cheaper from PLN 244,990 to PLN 219,990, i.e. by as much as PLN 25,000 ( 10.2 percent). Thanks to the reduction, this model is now within the limit of the “My electrician” program (PLN 225,000), so in the best case, taking into account the discount and subsidies, you can have it by over 50,000. cheaper than last year! This is bad news for existing owners of this model – new cars are now cheaper than many second-hand ones. It is also a price level similar (and in the case of many variants even lower) to the Volkswagen ID.3. For a symbolic price of PLN 90 lower, you can also buy, for example, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 – a more spacious car, better made, but with much worse performance.

Tesla Model 3 Long Range AWD, i.e. a variant with a 4×4 drive and a large battery (range according to WLTP: 602 km, max. speed 233 km/h, 0-100 km/h: 4.4 s) cheaper by PLN 30,000. PLN and costs PLN 254,990 instead of PLN 284,990.
The smaller price reduction applies to the model Tesla Model 3 Performance AWD (range slightly lower than in the LR variant, but the maximum speed is 261 km / h and acceleration 0-100 km / h in 3.3 s) – here the reduction is 21 thousand. PLN, from PLN 305,990 to PLN 284,990.
Tesla declares the delivery date of cars by March 2023
The prices of the Tesla Model Y, i.e. a mid-size SUV, comparable to the Skoda Enyaq, have been reduced even further.
Tesla Model Y with a smaller battery and rear-wheel drive (range according to WLTP: 455 km, max. speed 217 km/h, 0-100 km/h: 6.9 s) cheaper by as much as 45,000. PLN, from PLN 274,990 to PLN 229,990, which means a discount of almost 16.5 percent. !
Tesla Model Y Long Range AWD, (range according to WLTP: 533 km, top speed: 217 km/h, 0-100 km/h: 5.0 s) now costs as much as PLN 55,000. PLN less than before, the current price is PLN 259,990. Skoda Enyaq iV Coupe RS with 299 hp engine, slightly lower range (WLTP: 522 km) and significantly lower performance (top speed 180 km/h, 0-100 km/h: 6.5 s) costs 295,900 zloty!
Tesla Model Y Performance AWD, (range according to WLTP: 514 km, max. speed: 250 km/h, 0-100 km/h: 3.7 s) decreased by 30 thousand. PLN and now costs PLN 299,990.
Officially, the reductions are due, among others, to from the optimization of supply chains and production technologies, which were to contribute to a significant reduction in car manufacturing costs. Some of the savings made may not necessarily appeal to customers. reports of lower-performance brakes being used on performance models, but packaged so customers would not notice.
In many markets recently, Tesla had to struggle with, among others, with image problems resulting from the controversial actions and statements of Elon Musk, the charismatic creator of the brand.
