The engineer programmed the software that controls robots tasked with cutting car parts from freshly cast aluminum parts. While two of the robots were disabled so the engineer and his team could work on the machines, the third was inadvertently left on.
Apparently, the injury was not serious enough to require the employee to take time off work. However, eyewitnesses say that the scene was quite gruesome, as traces of blood remained on the floor from the man’s wounds.
Injury reports filed with the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration at this Tesla car plant indicate that an average of one in thirty workers suffered a work-related injury.
Several current and former Tesla employees at the factory have revealed that the company regularly violates construction, maintenance and other safety regulations, putting workers at risk.
“Tesla” refused to give an official comment.
