On Thursday afternoon, a car crashed right into the premises of Bolleland at Espa in the Inland.
– The car must have come driving at high speed. It burst into the building where the handicap toilet is, and there is major material damage. It was very good that no people were in the room when this happened, says operations manager in the Inland police district Atle Bernhoft von Obstfelder to TV 2.
Possible practice driving
The operations manager says that they do not know the reason why the car crashed into the building, but that they have a theory.

– It may seem that there has been talk of practice driving. We are now collecting video surveillance from the scene to be able to determine who was behind the wheel when the car crashed, he says.
The police have opened a case on the matter. In addition, there will be an insurance case between the driver and Bolleland.

Olav Simensen is the general manager at Bolleland. He heard a loud bang when the car hit.
– I thought it was thundering, but then I went out, and saw that a car had crashed right into the wall, he says.
He says that the toilet room inside the scene of the accident is completely wrecked.
– If there had been someone in the room, this could have gone really bad. I am very happy no one was injured, neither in the car nor in the building, he says.
He knows nothing more about the cause of the incident, and says that the police were quickly on the scene.
Despite the dramatic event, Bolleland is open as usual on Thursday.
