The concepts are extremely flexible. In addition, it just depends on what you look at and which properties you emphasize for the type name.
Model S: Has the dimensions and body of a sedan, but the tailgate of a hatchback. Which one do you choose? Anyone who sees the Model S at first glance calls it a sedan due to the size and shape of the car, only later do people see that the tailgate consists of the entire window, which is literally the only part of a hatchback. So yeah what do you call it? I call it a sedan because that’s what it looks like, it’s way too long for a hatchback.

Model 3: Only one that is clear is just purely a sedan, no other features.

Model X: MPV or SUV? It sits a little higher on its wheels than the Model S and 3 but not compared to a normal car, which in my opinion still isn’t classed as an SUV because it’s way too low and so would classify it as an MPV. However, compared to other Teslas, this one is definitely higher, so in that frame you could call it an SUV.

Model Y: Same as the Model X, just a little smaller.
