“Tesla Announces Two Secret Electric Cars: Model 2 & Robotaxi in the Works”

Tesla held an annual meeting of shareholders. Elon Musk mentioned some interesting news on that occasion.

During the presentation, Elon Musk confirmed that Tesla is currently working on two new electric cars that it has not revealed yet. The silhouette of one of them, probably the long-awaited “cheap electric car”, which we know so far as the Tesla Model 2, could even be seen in the presentation.

It is expected that its price will be around $25,000, i.e. about half a million crowns. For comparison, the price of the Tesla Model Y electric car is about twice as much on the European market today.

The second car will probably be the no less expected robotaxi, i.e. a robotic car sharing service (originally known as Tesla Network). Elon Musk said he expects both cars could sell up to 5 million units a year.

Elon Musk, the boss of Tesla, who, in his own words, literally “hates advertising”, will even be willing to bite off some ad buying in the case of high-volume models. For such high sales, it will be necessary to support demand.

Musk literally said: “We’ll try a little advertising and see how it goes.” At the same time, he himself has been making fun of other car companies and their advertising spending for many years, and he is said to be aware of the irony. He added that if there are ads “fun and interesting, close to meaningful content”.
