A brawl on March 29
On March 29, at the end of the day, the defendant was arrested following a brawl that resulted in his rival suffering a nose wound and three days of ITT. “I wanted to talk to him because I was getting masked calls with threats. I had already had problems with him, ”explains the defendant. “I wanted us to go elsewhere. He asked me if I had my brass knuckle. I said no and he started removing his rings and closing his fist. I hit the first one, ”he explains.
Nevertheless, President Marie-Cécile Dupuy delivers a slightly different story: “According to the victim, you wanted her to withdraw her complaint against you. And according to her, you had brass knuckles in your hand. It must be said that the young adult had been tried in his absence and sentenced on March 11 for violence committed against this same person in 2020.
During his arrest by the police, the young man said that the brass knuckle was with a friend’s grandmother. “If you didn’t have it during the fight, why tell the police where the gun was?” », Asks the president. “Because I always have it on me, I did not want to be challenged with”, answers the Tervillois.

He threatens and insults a friend’s parents
Regarding the threats, the complainants are the parents of a friend of the young man. “A complaint was filed for threats and insults on March 18, 22 and 29 with, in turn, an American fist or a screwdriver,” lists the president. Again, the versions differ. “The father pinned me to the wall to strangle me on the 18th. On the 29th, he insulted me and threw a pot of flowers when I wanted to apologize to the mother,” said the defendant. At the bar, the parents explain their wish not to see their son dating the young man. “We have videos where he beats up young people”, supports the mother.
Found guilty of violence with a weapon, threats but also possession of narcotics, the young man was sentenced to 9 months in prison, 3 of which were accompanied by a probationary suspension of two years. If the sentence can be modified in semi-freedom, he will have an obligation of care for his addiction to narcotics, an obligation of work and the prohibition to hold a weapon for five years and to come into contact with the victims who will have to be compensated. “The purpose of this sentence is to stop you in this spiral of violence”, concludes the president.
