Terryon Robinson (born 1994 in Decatur, Georgia) is an American football player at the position of wide receiver. He has been playing for the Cologne Centurions in the European League of Football (ELF) since 2023.
Robinson played football and basketball at his hometown Decatur high school until he graduated in 2012. In the football team he was used both as a wide receiver and as a cornerback.[1]
He then enrolled at Western Carolina University and from then on played for the local Catamounts. As a freshman, he played in every game of the 2013 season and finished as the third-best receiver of his year in the Southern Conference in terms of yardage per game. In 2014, he led the conference in passes per game, had several games in which he caught passes for 100+ yards, and was ultimately selected to the second all-conference team. He had to sit out the 2015 season as a red shirt due to a wrist injury. During the 2016 season, Robinson had the third-most catches in the conference and fourth-most in WCU Catamounts history. He was also selected to the First All-Conference Team. In 2017, he led the Catamounts in receiving yards, pass catches, touchdowns caught and points scored. He was again selected to the First All-Conference Team. During his collegiate career, he set a new pass catch record at WCU.[2]
He then signed up for the 2018 NFL Draft and attended WCU’s Pro Day to present himself.[3] However, Robinson went undrafted and did not find a place in the NFL as a free agent.
In 2020, Robinson originally wanted to play in the German Football League and in 2021 with the Yeditepe Eagles in the Turkish football league TKFL. However, both seasons were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[1]
In early 2022, Robinson was signed by the Pioneros de Querétaro in Fútbol Americano de México (FAM). After the end of the FAM season, he moved to the Istanbul Rams in the European League of Football for the eighth day of the game. In the remaining six games, Robinson caught 39 passes for 829 yards and 8 touchdowns.[4]
For the 2023 season he switched to the Cologne Centurions, who also play in the ELF.[4]
