Santiago Cafiero announced the work being carried out by the Argentine Foreign Ministry within the framework of the terrorist attack on Israel. The Foreign Minister explained how they are dealing with the conflict that broke out in the Middle East between the fundamentalist group Hamas and Israel. In that framework confirmed that there are four Argentinians deceased.
The national official, in charge of foreign policy, spoke about the role that the country is performing after a terrorist attack from Palestine to Israel began on Saturday. Alberto Fernández’s former chief of staff emphasized the Argentines who are in Israeli lands. In that sense, he announced that they began opening lines to communicate with the majority of compatriots.
Being the head of Argentina’s international ties, Santiago Cafiero had to report the numbers of Argentine victims of terrorism: “Unfortunately, the whole situation is very painful and we send our condolences to family and friends. We have four confirmed Argentines who have died and four who have disappeared. That is why we are in contact with the Israeli authorities,” he said on Radio 10.
In that context, he explained the measures that the country took after the Palestinian invasion: «Security was reinforced and what we did there, I immediately contacted the consulate and the embassy. We began to contact all Argentines and open the lines of all Argentines that we have registered in the area. Also to all those who are in Israel,” he assured.
«Those who are with tourist tickets, should look to the airlines for the possibility of bringing forward their return. We are working with the arrangements so that the students and workers who are there can return. We already have plans, if necessary, that Argentines who do not have a ticket can have the repatriation process“he added in Argenzuela.
Finally, Santiago Cafiero reflected on Argentina’s position in the decades-long conflict: “We are shocked because Israel suffered a terrorist attack. Argentina’s position is one of pacification. What we want is for peace to be restored and dialogue between Israel and Palestine to be restored.. “Any overflow brings death to Israeli and Palestinian families,” she stated.
