The six arrested for participating in terrorist acts were brought to the public prosecutor at noon, who are accused along with four others who are in prison. He prosecuted them with the indictment being particularly heavy for the members of the “Revenge Conspiracy”.

In addition, they were prosecuted for attempted, terrorist act of manufacturing, possession and supply of explosives, terrorist act of aggravated weapon possession and terrorist act of aggravated wear, but also for the misdemeanors of supporting a terrorist organization, incitement to commit a terrorist act, unlawful violence against judicial officials, illegal possession of firearms and possession of a shotgun and illegal possession of narcotics for personal use.
The profile of the accused
It is noted that the four inmates of the prisons are two in Domoko, one in Grevena and one in Larissa. Also, among the 10 are two military personnel, specifically a pyrotechnician who serves in the Air Force and an army gunsmith.
In the trapped file in Thessaloniki, according to the case file, genetic material of one of the soldiers was found. According to the same information, both are on long-term leave and were due to be removed from the armed forces.
A key role in the case is played by one of the inmates in Domokou prison, 36 years old, who allegedly pulled the strings and gave orders for the terrorist attacks to his accomplices outside, some of whom are drug users or have criminal deals with the authorities.
This particular man, according to information, has psychological problems and an obsession with armed action, while his relationship with the anti-authoritarian space is that in prison he had contacts with a prisoner for the “Conspiracy of Nuclei of Fire” organization. He was arrested by the Anti-Terrorist Service in Kolonaki in 2014 for robberies and a Kalashnikov, grenades and 5,500 euros were found in his possession.
In 2021, he broke his prison license and committed four bank robberies, the first of which was the National Bank in Petralona, where police officer Christos Matis had been murdered since November 1983, while a month ago the group planted a bomb in the same branch which exploded causing material damage.
The group had assumed responsibility for the terrorist attacks, under the name “Revenge Conspiracy”, while for the trapped file in Thessaloniki under another name.
The attacks of the “Vengeance Conspiracy”
It is noted that according to EL.AS, so far five cases involving the arrested have been investigated, namely:
- dispatch of a folder laced with explosives to the Thessaloniki Courthouse, which was found on 12-02-2024,
- explosion of an improvised explosive device in a bank branch in Petralona on 25-01-2024,
- explosion of an improvised explosive device on 11-13-2023 in a building complex in Kifissia, where a company is housed,
- throwing a grenade on 07-08-2023 at a car owned by a prison officer, which was parked in the parking lot of an apartment building in Haidari and
- throwing a grenade and exploding an improvised explosive device on 24-06-2023 in the yard of a house in Larissa.
The Anti-Terrorist Service continues its investigations to establish whether other people are involved in the group and examines all contacts of those arrested.
