Terror in the air for 200 Ryanair passengers – The Boeing engine caught fire and they had to evacuate it (Video) – 2024-10-05 09:36:02

A Ryanair Boeing 737 was evacuated after an engine caught fire before take-off. The incident happened at Brindisi Airport in Italy.

The 200 passengers used the slide to disembark. Rainews reports that everyone is in good health.

The Boeing 737 Max of Ryanair flight FR 846, which had taken off from Barcelona (Spain), landed on the runway.

Shortly before takeoff, an engine of the aircraft caught fire. Landing gear tires exploded. The pilots heard a noise from the left rear and then others from the right.

The two right tires were detached after the explosion, while the left one deflated.

“We announce that due to a problem with a departing aircraft, it has been necessary to close Salento Airport in Brindisi. The problem, which occurred when the aircraft was already ready for take-off, required the evacuation of passengers via an emergency slide,” a spokesman for the Airport.
