München – The crazy attack by Islamist Emrah Ibrahimovic (✝︎18) lasted twelve minutes before the police shot him in Munich. Twelve long minutes – during which it was only by sheer luck that no other people were injured.
One day after the Islamist attack on the Israeli Consulate General on September 5, the police and the Attorney General’s Office presented the results of their investigation.
Ibrahimovic, armed with a historical Swiss army weapon, was seen by a police patrol as he got out of his vehicle. But then his trail was briefly lost.
Terror scare began shortly before 9 a.m.
► According to police operations manager Christian Huber, the perpetrator parked the car on Arcisstrasse in front of the music academy shortly before 9 a.m. “According to initial investigations, he left the house in Austria at around 6:30 a.m.,” said Huber.

► He then went to the NS Documentation Center and shot twice at the building – at the entrance and at the facade.
► Ibrahimovic then entered a building of the Technical University (TU) through a back door – after shooting into a window. He must have injured himself in the process, because the police found his blood in the building. He crossed the TU building and left it at the side.
► He then tried to climb over the fence of the Israeli Consulate General using a car, but was unsuccessful.

► The Islamist then shot twice at a window of the consulate. Fortunately, the building was not occupied that day; it was closed to commemorate the attack during the 1972 Olympic Games.
► Then he walked through the park, entered the office of the “German Academy of Engineering Sciences” from the back and came out the front again.
At around 9.12 a.m. he is hit by bullets
► Then the police arrested him, there was an exchange of gunfire, and at around 9.12 a.m. he was lying on the ground – and died.

Ibrahimovic fired a total of nine shots, including at police officers. Before the fatal shootout, he was asked to “put down his weapon,” said Huber.
The magazine of weapon seized six cartridges. According to Huber, a package containing 50 rounds of ammunition was found in the 18-year-old’s car and was largely empty.

The whereabouts of the rest of the ammunition is still being investigated. According to Huber, a police officer and a passerby each suffered acoustic trauma, and there were other injuries in the attack in München not given. What a HUGE stroke of luck…
