Territorialized confinement and limited inter-regional travel

Containment is back in 16 French departments, in Ile-de-France and in Hauts-de-France, as well as in the Alpes-Maritimes, Eure and Seine-Maritime.

Jean Castex made it official on Thursday: from Friday night at midnight, confinement comes into effect again in 16 French departments, in Ile-de-France and in Hauts-de-France, as well as in Alpes-Maritimes, the Eure and the Seine-Maritime. The measure will apply for at least four weeks, « unless positive results are observed in the meantime ‘. Pointing ” which is more and more like a third wave “, and advocating a « territorialized strategy “, the Prime Minister referred to ” massive braking measures’. Concretely, the certificate is back to be able to leave his home. These outings should not be limited in time, but restricted to a radius of ten kilometers. The interregional travel are meanwhile forbidden, or at least limited to compelling or professional reasons – the mobility of business travelers is therefore spared – again from Friday evening. On the other hand, the curfew is shifted from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., and this on all the territory. The Prime Minister also reminded companies to make an additional effort in terms of telecommuting, advocating « at least four days out of five “ in remote work.

In the process, the SNCF announced to maintain its short-term operations: “TGV INOUI, OUIGO, Intercités, regional and international trains will run as planned this weekend and early next week”.
