Territorial reorganization, electoral law: The boost of the CNT to the Government

The President of the National Transitional Council (CNT), Colonel Malick Diaw, has always said and repeated: “One of the major problems of the Transition is the time of this transition should not be a trial period. We have to go to the essentials”. In accordance with this political will expressed many times, the National Transitional Council has just given the Government the necessary instruments to get to the heart of the matter.

The main thing is the organization of free, credible and transparent elections throughout the national territory. Indeed, since its inception, the CNT has effectively played its role as the legislative body of the transition. He has always acted diligently to adopt the bills sent by the Government. The proof: immediately convened in extraordinary session, the President of the CNT convened its members in plenary session to give the Government the instruments it needs to boost the electoral process. Last week, Monday February 20, the members of the CNT adopted 6 projects to materialize the new territorial reorganization and of the constituencies and communities of Mali. The last plenary session of the session was held last Tuesday. It enabled the adoption of amendments to the electoral law. These strokes of the CNT will allow the Government to press the accelerator in the conduct of the electoral process. Suddenly, Colonel Diaw and his lieutenants still demonstrate their determination for the smooth running of the transition.
