Since March 2020, the territorial agents have ensured an almost normal work despite the confinements and health constraints, for the greater good of the citizens. Amélie Hustaix, the Director General of Services (DGS), pays tribute to all municipal employees and detailed their multiple occupations.
The secretaries of the administrative service welcomed the public during the confinements while giving priority to information by phone or email. Some of the staff were present and were on duty; the other part continued its task by teleworking, thanks to a remote connection, which required adapted equipment and the concern to manage as well as possible this staff far from the usual offices. The planning had to be constantly adapted and readjusted. The secretaries currently continue to work face-to-face or remotely and are still at the service of the inhabitants of the municipality.
The technical service agents, during the first confinement, were divided into teams of 2, 3 or 4 employees who were found the same in these small groups for security reasons. They took advantage of the confinement to do some work: changing the lighting of the primary school, painting the stands of the stadium and the rooms on the ground floor of the town hall. After confinement, they continued to ensure normal and usual work as a team: cleanliness of the town and premises, flower beds, etc.
School workers, during confinement, remained at home, but did some work for the school, including sewing work. Since the resumption of classes, they have been able to ensure that the various protocols in force in classrooms, recreation, daycare or extracurricular activities are respected.
All these territorial agents have lived a busy and delicate year. They had to adapt to unusual circumstances and often upset schedules. They should return to normal working conditions in the near future that everyone hopes.
